2,809 complaints addressed during Thana Divas-Jansunwai

Delhi Police resolved 2,809 complaints during its weekly “Thana Divas-Jansunwai” public hearing programme held on Sunday at police stations across all 15 police districts of the Capital.
Senior police officers, from the rank of Special CP to ACP, attended the sessions at various police stations. Their presence gave citizens the opportunity to raise concerns directly with senior officers, helping ensure matters were addressed at the appropriate level. The sessions also allowed citizens to share suggestions and concerns regarding various day-to-day issues.
The “Thana Divas-Jansunwai” initiative was launched in June 2026, following directions from Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu. It is being implemented under the leadership of Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar, with the objective of providing citizens a direct and accessible platform for grievance redressal.
As part of the initiative, police stations organise public hearing sessions every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, enabling citizens to approach police with complaints, grievances, and suggestions.
