In a horrific incident, a 20-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by two men over the use of a comb at the shop of the accused in South-East Delhi's Badarpur area on Sunday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Pawan.
According to Romil Baaniya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East), the incident took place at a barber shop run by two real brothers — Raghubir Thakur and Navami Thakur— in the Badarpur area around 1.30 pm.
Police said the victim, Pawan, used to play dhol or drums at weddings in the area, went to the Thakur brothers’ shop. Eyewitnesses told police that Pawan started using comb inside the shop without seeking permission of the duo brothers.
Infuriated over this, the two brothers got into a heated argument with Pawan. The argument escalated into a scuffle when Raghubir allegedly caught Pawan by his hair and Navami stabbed Pawan with a pair of scissors.
After stabbing Pawan, the duo tried to flee the spot, however locals caught them and handed them over to police.
A team of local police rushed Pawan to Apollo Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
According to the DCP, the two accused have been detained and are being interrogated. Further investigation is underway.
