A youth was injured when a co-passenger allegedly attacked him with a dagger (kirpan) while de-boarding a Metro train at Patel Chowk on Sunday evening.
The attacker, identified as Kanwaljeet, was nabbed by CISF personnel soon after the attack and handed over to the police. Police said that the victim, Nitin was taken to Ram Manohar lohia Hospital where he is said to be out of danger. “Kanwaljeet attacked Nitin after an argument between the two at the door of the train,” a senior police officer said, adding that Kanwaljeet stabbed Nitin in the waist with the dagger.
