A 22-year-old man was killed after a speeding car allegedly hit him on a flyover in North Delhi’s Wazirabad area. The incident occurred on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Rishabh, a resident of Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh. According to a senior police official, Rishabh and his friend Krishna Kant (22) were preparing for the competitive exams and were staying together at Wazirabad.
“On Monday evening, they both were sitting on a divider on Jagatpur Flyover after having dinner. Meanwhile, a speeding black Maruti Suzuki SX4 car came there and hit Rishabh,” said the senior police official.
“Rishabh was rushed to Trauma Centre Civil Lines where he was declared brought dead,” said the senior police official.
“During investigation, it was revealed that one Arbaz (21), a resident of Wazirabad, was driving the car and one Mustab (21), a resident of Harsh Vihar, was sitting next to him,” said the police official privy to investigation.
“The occupants in car were drunk at the time of the incident and they have been arrested,” said the police official adding that further investigation is going on.
