A 20 year youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in a room of hotel owned by his uncle in East Delhi's Preet Vihar area and left WhatsApp message for his friends and family before taking the extreme step on Wednesday.
A senior police official said the deceased identified as Anshul Soni lived at Burari area of the city. His body was found hanging from a ceiling fan of a roof of his uncle's hotel in Preet Vihar area on Wednesday late evening.
In his WhatsApp message, the deceased said he will be remembered after he will be no more but did not give any reason for the extreme step taken by him, said a senior police officer.
Anshul was in the room for the whole of Wednesday and did not open door which led to suspicion and door of the room was forcibly opened in the evening when his body was found hanging from a fan there. He left behind a note in which he mentioned his failed relationship with a girl, he said.
A case has been registered at Geeta Colony police station and investigation has been taken up, added the police official.
