Eldest son among four siblings, Mehraab came with his uncle to take back his father's body.

"We have'nt told mother about his father's death. My mother mostly remains sick. While coming here, we told her that father had a minor accident," said the boy.

Surrounded by the elders of the family, Mehraab was waiting for the body of his father, Merajuddin.

Moving in and out of the visitor's room, lost in thought, he uttered, "Abbu left home around 11 pm. He said that he will be back by 4 am. While waiting for him, I got a call from one of my uncles that father died in an accident.

"My father was not a reckless driver. He had bought a new Innova last month and on Tuesday, when one of the family friends called in to inform that a friend and their family are flying to Delhi, my father took it upon himself to ferry all," said Mehrab, son of the driver killed in East Delhi fatal accident.

My father is not a driver. He is into sale and purchase of cars in Meerut.
