A woman has alleged that she was assaulted and molested by a man in her neighbourhood in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar when she tried to save a dog from brutal thrashing by him.

“I asked him not to beat the helpless creature upon which he got irritated and started abusing me...I asked him not to abuse me on which he entered my compound and slapped me and pushed me by grabbing my hair...he was trying to outrage my modesty by trying to grope me on below my shoulder area,” the woman in her FIR.
She said it was only after a couple in the locality and her own brother heard the ruckus and rushed in to save her, the man could be controlled. She also told police that she is really worried about her and her family members’ safety as the man threatened her of dire consequences.
She also said that he threatened to harm her and other dogs in the area too.
