A forty-three-year-old man, who worked as a technician with Moser Baer, was allegedly murdered by his wife in North-East Delhi’s Gokalpuri area on Tuesday morning. The accused wife was arrested. The deceased has been identified as Dhanpal.
“A call was made by Dhanpal’s niece who was present in the house when the incident took place around 9 am. Dhanpal’s wife Uttam Devi (33) strangled him to death. Investigations are in progress,” said a police official. The couple used to fight over trifle issues.
A senior police official of North east district said that Dhanpal was found dead in his house. He worked as a technician in Noida and apparently his wife who was having extra-marital affair with someone known to her husband. Dhanpal came to know about this and objected to her dalliance. Two or three days back the couple had a heated argument and the woman called her relatives and got her husband beaten up badly.
On Tuesday his angry wife throttled him to death but before that she had hit him with a blunt object. There were five members in the house — including the couple, their two sons and the niece. The niece informed police and the wife was arrested.
