A woman who was allegedly barred from entering the house by her in-laws and husband for having being failed to conceive a son, staged a protest outside the house along with few local women who came out in her support. This led to a high profile drama at the posh residential locality of Kavi Nagar in Ghaziabad. The police said that a call was received that a woman is sitting outside the residence of Gaurav Jain who is a garment exporter. The woman Monika Jain is identified as wife of Gaurav Jain.
The woman claimed that she was married to Gaurav on October 9, 2008. She said that from her marriage a girl child was born to her. She said that she conceived several times afterwards but for all the time her husband forced her to undergo abortion after knowing through ultrasound that the child in her womb was a daughter.
She further said that about a year ago she and her husband moved from their house to a rented apartment in Indirapuram, but about two weeks ago her husband quietly shifted back in his parental house and also brought their daughter along with him leaving her alone in the rented apartment.
