The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on Friday declared the woman and her husband, who had lodged false rape case against a senior IPS Officer Amitabh Thakur and his wife, absconder.
The lucknow police pasted a court notice at the gate of their resident on the direction of court.
Nutan Thakur, a social activist and the wife of Amitabh Thakur, said, “A false rape case against the IPS Officer Amitabh Thakur (her husband) and herself at the behest of former Minister Gayatri Prajapati who is at present in jail.”
“The case was closed when we were found innocent,” she said, adding, “After closure of case, I filed a case against eight conspirators who hatched conspiracy against me and my husband on June 22, 2015.”
“The case was registered under Sections 467,468,420,120(b) and 182 of IPC. But the police at that time under influence closed the case and submitted final report in the court on July 13, 2015,” she further said.
“But the court of CJM did not accept the closure report and ordered reinvestigation in the case,” said Nutun Thakur while defending her husband.
“We approached the High Court and case was referred to the crime branch for further investigation,” she said while speaking on phone to The Pioneer correspondent.
“The Investigation officer (IO) submitted the chargesheet against main conspirator Gayatri Prajapati in April 2017 and continued investigation against remained accused persons,” said Nutun.
Explaining the matter, Nutun added that the IO submitted the chargesheet against three other accused persons, including rape victim, her husband and Ashok Pandey ex-member of State Woman Commission. “However both Gaytari Pandey and her husband remained absconded despite several court summons.”
