A-35-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by four people in a moving SUV in Noida on Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to police, the woman was found in an unconscious state at Sector-55. The incident took place around 12 pm when the victim was waiting for a bus at Sector-12/22 bus stop.
She alleged that four people offered her lift in Scorpio and then raped her. The woman is undergoing a treatment in a private hospital in Delhi.
“In her complaint, the woman said she had left her home to meet her husband. She reached Sector 12/22 bus stop by an auto. She alleged that four men offered her lift to drop her to desired destination. As she sat, they offered her sedative cold drink which made her feel sleepy and unconscious after consuming it. After which the men allegedly raped her in moving car and dumped her at Sector-55,” said a senior
police official.
Police said they have identified two accused —Viru and Shameer. “We have registered an FIR against four people under section 376 D (rape with a woman involving more than one person) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) at Sector 24 police station. A police team has been formed to investigate the matter and to arrest them,” said the official.Staff Reporter n Noida
