In a strange case, a 26-year-old divorced woman accused a minor boy of sexually assaulting her while the minor accused the woman of raping him in a hotel in South Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area on Monday.

According to senior police official, the woman had lured the 17-year-old boy on Facebook after which they decided to meet at a hotel. After meeting at the hotel, the woman booked a room and paid for it and took the minor inside.

“The woman told the minor on Facebook that she is a divorcee and just wanted to have a physical relationship with him to which the boy had replied saying that he is a minor. The woman still agreed to the condition,” said the police official.

They had physical relations in the hotel room and after that the woman went to the Vasant Kunj(North) Police Station and lodged a complaint against the minor for raping her. Police registered a case under Section 376 (rape) against the boy.

When police came to arrest the boy, he showed police all the conversations he had with the woman and also showed the hotel bill which showed that the woman had paid for the room.

“When a police team went to the hotel to arrest the boy, he protested and showed all the chats between him and the woman. He also then showed the hotel room bill, which showed that the woman paid for the room,” said the police official.

A case under Sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was then registered against the woman but police did not arrest anyone yet as they suspect that the case might be of a honey trap.
