With not let-up in swine flu spread across the country, the national Capital on Thursday reported another incident of death due to the deadly H1N1 virus. A five-year-old girl died in Hindu Rao Hospital a fortnight ago after being diagnosed with swine flu. With this, the death toll due to swine flu in Delhi has gone up to 10. While girl was died on February 13, it was officially reported as a death due to swine flu on Thursday.
Meanwhile, nearly 665 tests were conducted on Thursday of which 137 samples were found positive. This year the total number of positive cases has gone up to 2,708. However, as people are getting treatment, also with the recent guidelines and orders issued by the Delhi Health Ministry, so far the death toll is restricted to only 10.
The Delhi Government had earlier this month launched a helpline number for the people to complain in case of overcharging by private labs or any other problem being faced. The helpline number is 011-22307145.
