Delhi Police have arrested a 20-year-old burglar who with his face covered used to enter the house through balcony and escape house from the balcony by jumping on the roof of a parked car like ‘Spiderman’. With his arrest the police have solved 12 cases of robbery in National Capital.
“The accused identified as Vagees alias Twinkle is a resident of Tughlaqbad. He was arrested within 12 hours after we have received a complaint of a burglary in Tughlaqabad extension on Monday early morning,” said Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), south east district.
“During investigation CCTVs installed in the area were scrutinised and in one of the footage accused was seen entering the house through balcony and coming out of the house from the balcony by jumping on the roof of a parked car. However, accused had covered his face to avoid any identification,” said the DCP.
“On the inputs gathered and basis of body structure police team apprehended Vagees who during interrogation confessed to the crime. He further disclosed that he used to commit crime to get easy money for his expenses for Cigarette, drugs and liquor. Accused has previously been involved in 14 cases burglary, attempt to murder, snatching and theft. He used to select the target one or two day before breaking into the houses and then commit the crime in the late night hours,” said the DCP.
“We have recovered 9 stolen mobile phones fromhis possession and further investigation is going on,” the DCP added.
