What if cannabis cured cancer

Published on:

India’s first annual hemp conference was held in New Delhi on November 30 at Indian Habitat Centre (IHC). The conference was organised by Indian Industrial Hemp Association (IIHA) in association with WASME (World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises), European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA), Hemp Foods (Australia) and Hemp Age. Hemp is the common name for plants of the entire cannabis.

This term is often used to refer only to cannabis strains cultivated for industrial (non-drug) use. Industrial hemp has many uses, including paper, textiles, biodegradable plastics, construction, healthfood and fuel.

Said Rohit Sharma, Executive Director, IIHA, “Industrial hemp can bring a revolution in the industry. Hemp fibre is the strongest one in the world. It has the potential to cure cancer and a next generation crop to bring revolution to our Indian economy.” The aim of the conference was to provide an opportunity to international agencies.
