As southwest monsoon is bidding adieu to Delhi, warm weather has made a comeback in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR)
On Tuesday morning the minimum temperature settling at 21 degrees Celsius, the Met office said.
"Sky appeared clear throughout the day,". said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius for next two days, he said. As per IMD weather data humidity was at 8.30 am 86 per cent recorded.
According to a private weather watch body, Skymet, a feeble cyclonic circulation had developed over Northwest Rajasthan that was interrupting the flow of northwesterly winds over the northwestern plains and as a result, weather has been warm and temperatures were settling slightly above normal for the last few days.
"Now, this cyclonic circulation has become insignificant, leading to significant drop in humidity. The wind pattern has also changed from easterly to dry northwesterly. These dry and cold winds have already dropped the maximum and minimum temperatures by two to three degrees and are now settling near normal," stated Skymet.
The maximum temperature on Monday settled at 33.6 degree Celsius while minimum temperature on Tuesday morning was recorded at 20.7 degree Celsius.
"The continuous flow of these winds will lead to further drop in mercury in the coming days," said the weather watch body. As a result, days will be warm and sunny but weather will be comfortable. Meanwhile, nights and mornings will be pleasant with minimum temperatures ranging between 20 degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius, it said.
