Wanted Vicky arrested with 2 cronies

Vikas Dagar alias Vicky, who tried to kill former MlA Bharat Singh in 2012 and was on run since April after jumping his parole, was arrested along with his two associates after a brief gunfight with a team of Delhi Police Special Cell on Thursday.

Joint Commissioner of Police Dr Vivek Gogia said that Dagar was planning to attack Kishen Pehalwan, elder brother of Bharat Singh when he was nabbed along with his associates Amit alias Mita and Manish alias Monu.

The genesis of the feud between Dagar and Bharat Singh dates back to an incident in the year 2012, when Bharat Singh assaulted and insulted Dagar’s paternal aunt on some property issue. However, the attempt on the life of Bharat Singh by Vicky Jharodia and his associates failed in the year 2012 and Bharat Singh was eventually gunned down by other accused persons in the month of March this year. “But Dagar has vowed not to rest until he took revenge from Kishan Pehalwan, brother of late Bharat Singh,” said Gogia.

An MBA graduate, Dagar had cleared his IElTS exam and was set to leave for Ireland’s Dublin University for higher education in 2012 when a dispute over property pulled him into the world of crime.

In recent past months, four cases of extortion had been registered against him in Delhi.
