leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Tuesday said AAP-led Delhi Government is responsible for raising more than 100 controversies during past 18 months.
"The AAP Government is not concerned about the development of Delhi and to hide their failures, they repeatedly raise fresh controversies. The moot question is when this Government starts working for the people," alleged Gupta.
He said by raising the issue to bring DDA under the control of the Delhi Government has started to a new controversy. "The Government has put the land Pooling Policy of DDA, which envisaged building of 20lakh houses in Delhi in a time bound manner, has been put in cold storage. On the one hand the AAP-led Government talks about bringing DDA under its control and on the other hand it is not allowing the DDA to implement its very ambitious land Pooling Policy," said BJP leader.
Also, he said Delhi being the Capital of the nation enjoys special status under Sec 239AA of the Constitution and by talking about the issue without the constitution having been amended, is trying to mislead the people by diverting their attention from their basic problems.
"Though works like provisioning of drinking water, strong sewerage system, education, health, social welfare etc fall fully within the jurisdiction of the Delhi Government, the party has not taken up any one of these works during the last 18 months," he said.
