A caretaker of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Vidya Mandir allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan inside Noida Sector-48 Ashram on Saturday late night. No suicide note was found.
Police said the deceased has been identified as Raj Kumar (22), a native of Mahoba district in Uttar Pradesh and had joined Ashram three months ago as caretaker.
Raj Kumar was found hanging inside a room at the first floor. Police said Raj Kumar used to keep keys of the rooms at the Ashram. Police said that few people connected with Art of living stayed at the Ashram to join Word Culture festival. On Sunday morning, people staying in the Ashram were searching him for help but he could not be found. later, he was discovered dead.
