Victim girl's family shocked, surprised

The gang-rape victim’s family on Monday said that they were “shocked and surprised” by the incident. The family expressed that they were expecting the accused to be hanged in any case and there was no pity they felt for his end. 

“We wanted the justice to prevail in any case. He died this way was not expected though. We are waiting the four others to be hanged too. Justice cannot be delayed but the belief in the judiciary is there,” said Gaurav Pandey, the brother of the victim. He said the entire family is waiting for the trial to be completed at the earliest. 

Earlier, the father of the victim Badrinath Singh has said that on getting the US bravery award to his daughter on the International Women’s Day, was a great honour to her daughter, but the real and greatest award she world get after all the accused will be hanged.
