Vardhan holds Padyatra in Chandni Chowk

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Candidate from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency and Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that Delhi has always been a bastion of nationalist ideologues and their supporters. He took a whirlwind tour of the many localities in the constituency that he had won in 2014.

“Voters in Delhi will never forgive the party promising to repeal sedition Act and those elements who openly sided with JNU student leader associated with ‘tukde, tukde gang’. Dr Harsh Vardhan also said such elements should not expect any support and vote from electors”, he said.

“BJP has been considering India and nationalism as first commitment, the personal interests are being given the last priority. He added that AAP Government-headed by Arvind Kejriwal has been sitting over a file which deals with grant of permission for taking the matter to court of law in respect of main student leader directly involved in ‘tukde-tukde’ rhetoric. BJP would never allow such forces to damage the unity and integrity of the country. In case such forces create further trouble then the country will face chaos”, the Minister added.

Attacking Congress for promising to repeal Sedition Law in its election manifesto, Dr Harsh Vardhan said, “It looks that both AAP and Congress have been in league on the issue of weakening the country and its unity. Their priority is to safeguard their political interests”.

“The BJP candidate on Sunday intensified  his re- election campaign in different parts of Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency by leading ‘Jan Sampark and Padyatras’. He visited Railway Colony, Kishanganj Market, Moti Bagh, Vivekanand Puri, Padma Nagar and Roshanara Road under Sadar Assembly segment & Kedar Building, Ghantaghar and Kamla Nagar localities under Model Town Assembly segment”, statement released by his office mentioned.
