A fifteen-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping off the seventh floor of an under construction building in Dwarka, Sector 1 on Sunday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Jyoti, who was apparently upset with her Class X results.
"The PCR call was made by the caretaker of the building, who was informed by a passerby that a girl had entered the building. He went searching for the girl in the building, but could not find her. later, he saw her lying in a pool of blood. The girl died on the spot," said a police official.
The incident occurred around 1 pm on Sunday, when few passersby spotted the girl entering the building. Jyoti, a resident of Mahavir Enclave of Dwarka Sector-1 was depressed with her result as she had scored less mark. The police have registered a case of suicide. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
