Gurgaon police registered a case of rape on Thursday against an unidentified person, after a 19-year-old unmarried girl who delivered a baby in a hospital in Delhi, complained to Gurgaon police of rape.
The police said that the incident came to light when the hospital administration asked the victim about her husband and her residence. The victim informed that she is unmarried and was employed as domestic help in a house in South City Phase 1, Gurgaon from the past one year. The case has been registered.
The victim got the job through Delhi based placement agency and she left the job around four months ago.
According to police sources, her employer may be involved in the case as he had terminated her after learning about her pregnancy and evident baby bump.
“We have asked her employer to join the probe to find out actual matter. The victim also told police about a plumber identified as Babloo who had worked in her employer’s house some nine months ago, he had either raped her or may have been involved in the act with victim’s consent. But we are investigating the crime”, said Rajeev Kumar, ACP Sadar Gurgaon. The victim knows the name of the plumber but does not know his address.We have registered a case of rape against unknown person and are investigating the matter with the available evidence,” he added.
