The Unnao rape victim and her lawyer remain critical and on advanced life support admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Aarti Vij, chairperson, Media and Protocol Division in AIIMS on Wednesday said that the rape victim’s advocate Mahendra Singh is still unconscious and both the victims are being treated multi-disciplinary team of doctors from critical care, orthopaedic, trauma surgery and pulmonary medicine.
Vij said both of them continue to remain critical and on advanced life support.
The 19-year-old rape survivor and her lawyer suffered critical injuries in a car-truck collision in Rae Bareli district in Uttar Pradesh on July 28. She was air lifted to New Delhi from Lucknow on Monday evening for further treatment after Supreme Court directed the Uttar Pradesh Government.
The Delhi Police had provided a green corridor from the IGI Airport to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, covering a distance of around 14 km in 18 minutes.
