An undertrial was shot dead by an armed assailant inside the court premises of SurajpurDistrict Court in Greater Noida on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Sanjay Mohan who was lodged at Tihar Jail in Delhi. According to police, Sanjay, a Najafgarh area resident was arrested in various cases of loot and robbery in Delhi and NCR region earlier.
He was also wanted in one of the loot cases registered at Sector 20 thana for which he was produced in court. The miscreant whipped out his pistol near the lawyer’s chamber and fired at Sanjay when Delhi cops reached with the deceased for trial.
