Uber probe blows the lid off a sex maniac

The rape accused in the Uber case, Shiv Kumar Yadav, is man obsessed with sex. Delhi Police officials involved in the interrogation of the accused are flabbergasted as the he has been reeling off lurid details of his sexual fantasies.

During the investigation, he confessed that he opted to work late and did not return home. Instead, he stood outside pubs and malls to target vulnerable women.  The three-day police custody remand of Yadav will end on Thursday. The police are unlikely to seek further custodial remand. During Yadav’s three-day remand, he was questioned at length by the police officers.

Probe has revealed that the accused was a lecher who was all the time looking for prey. He even offered women waiting for transport during nights to drop them home in lieu of sexual favours.

Yadav had also approached a counsel during his stay in Mathura and was well versed with the interrogation system and the answers he would have to give to the police officers.

Yadav has been working as a taxi driver for the last eight years and had also bought a Swift Dzire through bank loan. When he was questioned by the officers, he tried to mislead the police by saying that it was consensual and that the girl was demanding a heavy sum.

However, he broke down and confessed to the crime and said that he thought the girl was sleeping and would not report the incident but the moment he received a text from the victim stating that she was raped which the victim was sending to someone else, he realised that he was in trouble.

Yadav told interrogators that from the time he was an adolescent he always dreamt and fantasised about sex, so much so that he watched pornography on a regular basis.

Sources revealed that he always fantasised about women and worked as a cab driver with various call centres in Delhi and NCR just to satiate his lust by watching beautiful women every day and later visualised them. He also told the police officers that he hardly went home and remained looking out for girls late night on the streets of Delhi. He offered a ride back home to women and girls who did not have money. He would take them to an isolated zone and demand sexual favours from them in return. He claimed that he had forced women a lot of times to engage in sexual activities with him.

Interrogation of the accused further revealed that he was a sex maniac and would look out for preys’ every day. Police officials first tried to join the dots and figured that he had raped a woman in 2011 in Delhi. Then another case in 2013 was reported in Uttar Pradesh and also womenfolk in his village always feared to come out knowing his lecherous behaviour. In that case, it was not possible that he had not hunted for a prey from 2011-2013 and then from 2013-2014.
