A day after a road mishap killed three CRPF personnel, two women officials on Thursday were reported to be in a critical condition at AIIMS Trauma Centre. Aged 40 and 41 respectively, the two CRPF women personnel were brought in an unconscious state with serious injuries and shifted to the ICU on arrival. According to the doctors, both of them are still unconscious and critical, but stable. “One of them has suffered severe liver injury while the other is currently under implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) insertion to stabilise the heart. There is not much we can say about their condition at the moment. But as soon as they regain consciousness, they will be discharged,” said the doctor. At present, nine other CRPF personnel are admitted in the hospital of which one is male. “Only one male CRPF person is admitted in the ward. He has a lacerated wound on the right leg. Apart from that there are eight females who are in the ward. Of those eight, one female of 37 years is without any major injury while one has an ICD inserted on the right side,” added the doctor.
