A 12-year-old girl was gangraped in a moving vehicle by three people in Rohini early morning on Wednesday. Police acted swiftly and arrested all the three accused in the case.
"On Wednesday, at around 1.40 am, on the basis of suspicion a Tata Ace was being chased by police as one minor girl and three boys were seen in the vehicle," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajneesh Gupta.
"The vehicle was intercepted and it was found that the 12-year-old girl was being raped by three people identified as Ravi Kumar (21), Mohit (23)and Vinod(30). The accused have been arrested and sent to judicial custody," said the DCP, adding that the girl and the three boys belonged to the same locality. "The condition of the girl is stable," he added.
In another incident reported from Aman Vihar area in the Outer district, a seven-year-old girl was raped by a juvenile on Tuesday evening.
The 16-year-old accused lured the victim on the pretext of buying chocolates and raped her in an isolated area.
According to a senior police official, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening when victim's parents who work as labourers were out on work.
"The accused who also lives in same locality took that as an advantage and lured the girl on the pretext of buying chocolates and took her to isolated area near their home and raped her," said a senior police official.
"When on late Tuesday evening the girl's parent came they saw their daughter bleeding following which they rushed her to nearby hospital. The doctor had confirmed rape in his report. The police was informed by the hospital. The girl is fine now and undergoing counseling," said the police official.
"A First Information Report has been lodged under the relevant sections and the accused juvenile is on the run. Efforts are being made to apprehend the accused," the official added.
