Two people have been arrested for allegedly killing their gay partner in South-West Delhi's Baba Haridas Nagar area. Akash (21) and Chetan (20) both live there.
On Tuesday morning, 29-year-old Dheeraj Jain was found murdered inside his room at Valmiki Ashram. "He was found in a pool of blood. His phone was missing from the spot. With the help of technical surveillance, the location of the phone was traced to the residence of one of the accused. After scanning the call detail records (CDR), police came to know that the victim had made his last call to Akash," a senior police officer said. On Wednesday evening, Akash was detained and after the sustained interrogation, he confessed to his crime.
"Dheeraj tried to have physical relations with them, but when they refused, he started abusing them. They picked up a large stone and hit Dheeraj repeatedly to kill him," the officer added.
