The two-day national seminar “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (whole world is one family) was concluded on Sunday at NDMC convention centre. The seminar in which many academicians from all across the nation participated was organised by “Shaikshik Foundation” in order to spread the message that indigenous values and teachings of Vedas can only help India achieve its lost glory and attain the status of “Vishwa Guru” once again.

Union Cabinet Minister Uma Bharti inaugurated the programme on Saturday while in the Valedictory session on Sunday eminent academician Dr. Anirudh Deshpande said, “The world that is full of discrimination, religious and social terrorism, wars and mindless killings, India has the responsibility to spread a message of universal brotherhood,” he said. He told the participants that the message of peace and harmony is very inherently and appropriately reflected in an even wider sense in the idea of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.

Six Technical Sessions were conducted wherein many participants presented their research papers.Key-note Speakers in these sessions were Prof. Darvesh Gopal (IGNOU), Prof. Madhur Mohan Ranga (Sarguza University, Chattisgarh), Dr. VK Gautam (University of Delhi), Shri KG Suresh (Director General, IIMC, JNU), Prof. CB Sharma (Chairperson, National Institute of Open learning) and Prof. SN Chaudhary (Barkatullah University, Bhopal) respectively.

“We should visualise this world as a single family instead of considering it merely a market. We need to spread the meaning invoked by the message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” to spread a message of peace and harmony in this world,” said Dr. Sanjay Kumar, media coordinator of programme.
