"When the men approached the restaurant owner to ask for a 50 per cent discount on the bill, the restaurant owner, Vijay Pal Goyal, refused. This led to a verbal altercation between the three men and Goyal," said a police officer. This escalated when the men started raining punches at Goyal, his relative Deepak, another man named Deepak and Vijay Gupta.
The three men also opened fire in the air but the restaurant owner and the staffers escaped unhurt," said a senior police officer.
