Twist in Gzb family massacre case, all property papers stolen

Published on:

Unidentified burglars have stolen all property papers from the house of Satish Goel, who along with his entire family was murdered two months ago. The house has been lying abandoned since the massacre.

The burglary came to light when Satish Goel's son-in-law went to collect the papers from the locked house on Tuesday night and found that the bag containing them was missing. The son-in-law Sachin Goel informed the matter to the police. He said that sale deeds pertaining to properties were found missing from the house.

Former UP Power Minister Satish Sharma, who had staged a dharna demanding CBI probe into the murder of Satish's family, said the recent burglary incident revealed that the reason for the massacre of Goel's entire family was property dispute. He alleged that the local police, however, wrapped up the case with ulterior motives. A probe by CBI could only solve this case, he added.

Meanwhile, police officer Ram Narayan Yadav said, "We have the information about the burglary. Although no valuables remained in the house but whatever has been found missing would be taken into account." Seven members of businessman Satish Goel's family were butchered to death and all the valuables — including cash and jewellery worth over a crore — were stolen from the house. The incident came to light on May 21, 2013 morning. After the incident, local traders staged a dharna against the police.

Satish Goel, who runs a wholesale grocery store, was also engaged in investing in real estate. He had allegedly bought some disputed properties.
