South Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to transfer the chit challan cases in areas falling in three zones under its jurisdiction, the civic body said on Wednesday.
It has been decided that the chit challans cases of West Municipal Zone be withdrawn from the court of Municipal Magistrate, Rohini and be assigned to the court of Metropolitan Magistrate (Traffic), West, Tis Hazari Court. The chief justice and judges of this court have accepted the proposal of the SDMC. The corporation believes this will bring great relief to citizens, as they can easily deposit their challans. Similarly, the cases of South and Central Municipal zones be withdrawn from the court of Municipal Magistrate, Dwarka and assigned to the court of Metropolitan Magistrate (Traffic), South, Saket and Metropolitan Magistrate (Traffic), South-East, Saket respectively, he said.
