Frequent disruptions at Delhi Metro stations, especially in newly inaugurated Magenta line connecting Botanical Garden to Janakpuri (West), has become a daily headache for the commuters travelling in this section.

Disrupting the services, a train was removed from the services on the Magenta line on Tuesday morning witnessing some technical issues in the train. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) informed that the services in the corridor were delayed briefly.

The incident took place in the early morning at around 8 am when the train was going towards Kalkaji Mandir station, and it was removed from the service at IGI Domestic Airport station.

Magenta line connects Baotanical Garden to Kalkaji Mandir , Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West. Kalkaji Mandi station is also an interchange station that connects with the Violet line.

The magenta corridor known as the line seven (7) was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Ouri in May this year.

The problems in the 24.82-km-long have started just after facing the first rain. Recently, metro services were badly disrupted for more than 2.30 hours in the Magenta line connecting from Janakpuri (West) to Botanical Garden due to 'Overhead Electricity'. Further on the same line unusual rain water leakages from the tunnels flooded into the under section stations between Kalkaji to Botanical Garden, leading to a major obstruction in the line.
