Power supply in East Delhi will be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday due to shifting of electricity towers located along the Akshardham-Noida road, in order to make way for setting up of another ‘Dilli Haat’ there. The areas that will be affected include Mayur Vihar Phase I, housing societies and commercial complexes situated along the road.
“Power supply may be affected on July 23 and 24, between 10 am and 5 pm in East Delhi as BSES Yamuna Power limited (BYPl) will carry out a planned shutdown in the area for removal of the electricity towers,” a BYPl spokesperson said.
The DDA had earlier floated the proposal to set up a ‘Dilli Haat’ near the Akashardham-Noida road in East Delhi. like the other ‘Dilli Haat’, this handicrafts’ promotion centre, when completed, will be a major tourist attraction, both for Delhiites and the foreigners alike.
