To pacify Binny, Kejri offers him post of his choice'

Following the first incident of dissidence within the party on the issue of selection of Ministers for the Delhi Cabinet, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came all out to pacify its disgruntled leader.

Sources said that the party convener and Delhi Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal offered the miffed MlA from laxmi Nagar, Vinod Kumar Binny, to choose from two posts: either the post of Parliamentary Secretary or Speaker of the House.

However, sources in the party revealed that Binny refused to take on as the Delhi Government’s Parliamentary Secretary. The dreams of ex-councillor Vinod Kumar Binny may come crashing down as reports are doing rounds that the party has also thought of JD(U) leader and MlA from Matia Mahal Shoaib Iqbal as a probable candidate to chair as the Speaker.

On Wednesday, Iqbal visited Arvind Kejriwal at the latter’s residence in Kaushambi. However, aides close to the party leader said that the gesture was nothing less than a courtesy visit.
