Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari and all party MPs and MlAs from the national Capital will visit the official residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to discuss with him the ongoing sealing drive against properties for alleged violations of civic norms.
Delhi BJP general secretary Ravinder Gupta on Monday wrote a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard. The three BJP Mayors and general secretaries of the Delhi unit would be part of the delegation, Gupta said.
The slugfest between the ruling AAP and the BJP which controls municipal corporations has intensified over the sealing drive with both the sides blaming each other.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sought to turn the tables on to the BJP leaders by seeking an appointment on the issue with lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. “…As the matter comes directly under your jurisdiction, I along with all those coming to meet me and with AAP MlAs and Councilors will come to meet you at your residence…” said the official letter by CM to l-G.
In a related development, AAP MlAs, reached the l-G House, seeking an appointment with him to discuss the sealing issue. “While MlAs waiting for Hon’ble l-G , he left for beating retreat from another gate. We will wait for you sir at your doorstep,” AAP MlA Saurabh Bharadwaj tweeted. In another tweet, he said, “the l-G house barricaded, MlAs have been asked to wait to meet the l-G.”
