A double-storey building collapsed in Arya Samaj road in Karol Bagh on Thursday in which three people were reportedly injured. The building is known as Pilly Kothi. The building is spread across 15 square yards and was reportedly an old building and is home to around 200-250 families.
While hundreds of people gathered at the accident site, the injured were rushed to the hospital. “As the collapse took place, we heard a very massive sound and just could not make it as to what just happened. We all rushed out of our houses to see what happened and that is when we saw that this old building had collapsed,” said Kavita Rani, a local resident.
Former North MCD Mayor and Karol Bagh Councillor Ravindar Gupta said, “a portion of the building has collapsed and around three have been injured. We will try to ensure the portion is restored as soon as possible.”
