Delhi Police has arrested a 31-year-old software engineer and his two associates for allegedly making obscene video of a businessman after meeting him through a dating app and later demanding `1 crore from him by threatening to upload the video on social media platforms.Police said that the main accused Raj Kishor Singh, a software engineer based in Gurugram fell in bad company owing to his lavish lifestyle. “He also opened a SPA there and recruited women for call girl services. To meet his expenses, he used them to honeytrap rich and wealthy businessmen,” said police. Police said Singh along with Aryan Dixit (28) and their woman associate, also a software engineer by profession would target wealthy businessmen through “TINDER APP” and then the woman initially chats to lure the victim and later fixes up a meeting with him. According to Manoj C, the DCP, Crime, a was complaint from the businessman who stated that in the last few days, he was received call from an unknown person who was demanding `1 crore from him with the threat to publish nude morphed pictures of him along with a woman on social media sites.
“During the investigation, technical surveillance was mounted and manual information was collected and location of the suspect was identified. A conducted raid and one of the suspects identified as Rajkishor was nabbed from Gurugram who disclosed his involvement and revealed names of his two associates,” said the DCP.
“A raid was conducted in DLF Phase II, Gurugram from where one of the woman accused was arrested while her co-accused and friend Aryan Dixit was nabbed from south Delhi’s Chhatarpur,” said the DCP.
“During the search of their flat, two handbag fitted with spy camera, memory card, USB Pen Drive, laptop containing videos and pictures of victims, one mobile phone used to make extortion calls to the victim was also recovered,” said the DCP.
“The accused, Dixit, who is an MBA graduate has his own online garment business. He met Singh through his girlfriend with an intension to earn easy money and later one of his other woman friend, who was unemployed during lockdown and was looking for a job meanwhile met Singh, who used her for honey trapping,” said the DCP.
