In Tilak Nagar Assembly Constituency, BJP candidate Rajiv Babbar, a first-timer, is setting a new trend in poll campaign. Three generations of Babbar’s family are actively involved in electioneering in this segment. While Rajiv Babbar is taking on to streets wooing the voters, his father and sitting MlA OP Babbar too has been seeking votes for his son on the basis of his development works in the area. Rajiv Babbar’s 17-year-old son is not behind as he is handling the online campaign for his father.

The senior Babbar, four-time legislator from the constituency, is holding regular interactions with representatives of RWAs, traders’ associations and other groups in the area. “The father’s experience in electoral politics has strengthened my prospects. His long-term association with the elders in the constituency is a huge advantage for me. Moreover, my son Pragun too has been very effectively handling the online campaign,” said Rajiv Babbar. He said that being a longstanding legislator, his father is well-acquainted with a majority of voters in his constituency, which is coming handy for his election campaign. “I certainly have an edge over my opponents,” he added.

With senior BJP leaders too campaigning in the area, Babbar is holding over a dozen direct contact programmes across the Tilak Nagar Assembly constituency publicising the BJP’s vision for development of the area and the solution it will be offering for the persistent problems. While the Babbar duo is on ground to personally reach each voter; the youngest Babbar, Pragun, is contributing in a different way. He is ensuring his father’s reach to maximum voters through social media.”He has a clear understanding of the expectations that the youth has from their leader. He keeps me updated of all developments online. He is managing the online campaign very effectively with the help of party workers,” Rajiv Babbar added.
