At least six policemen were allegedly attacked by three inebriated youths in Noida’s Atta Market on Thursday noon. This incident comes in the wake of an assault on a Deputy Superintendent of Police by armed bootleggers whilst raiding an illicit liquor vend in Ghaziabad’s Pilkhuwa.
“Around 1.45 pm on Thursday, a police team noticed three youths in a Scorpio car with tinted windows consuming liquor. The youths made a quick getaway as soon as they sniffed trouble. Police soon caught up with them. The men were drunk and abusive,” said a senior police officer.
