In a bid to make the national Capital ‘a tourism hub of the world’ as announced by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP Government is planning to hire professionals from the fields of Tourism, Art and Culture. The Government is going to rope in senior professionals for Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC). The Government is also mulling placing advertisements in this regard in newspapers within next few days.

“Delhi Government is reviewing each and every aspect of the tourism sector and finds that revenue generation is not up to the expectation,” said the source, adding that in order to fill the gap, they will be taking people who have the experience of boosting the tourism of other States or country instead of bureaucrats.

If sources are to be believed, to glorify the tourism of the Capital, the Government is likely to come up with 15 new projects which will help in attracting more tourists in the city from across the globe. The top priority of the Government is to revamp the overall  tourism and the organisational structure of the Tourism Department, said the source.

For this, the Government advertisements will be published in the newspapers in couple of days.
