The Pioneer joined the  Independence Day celebration on Sunday with a colourful flag hoisting function and reiteration of its commitment to keep alive the spirit of journalism with the objective of serving the nation.

Ranjeet Kumar Verma, the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) appointed by the NCLT, hoisted the flag at The Pioneer’s Noida office and shed light on the newspaper’s glorious past while  outlining his vision for a bright future for the organisation, despite the present phase of struggle

Verma said that the newspaper has been witness to the making and unmaking of India’s history and rise and fall of regimes during its 156 years of existence. “ The newspaper has been a part of India’s growth story, its struggle for Independence, its passion to place India on the global map as a dominating world force. In the days to come, the newspaper will regain its mooring and continue to play its role in facilitating  healthy debate and dissemination of information,” he said.

Verma appealed to the employees to remain optimistic  about the future of the organisation and assured them everything would be done to restore the lost glory of the newspaper.
