Neeta, who is a native of Jammu and Kashmir, is committed to joint action with Jammu and Kashmir terrorist groups, one of them being the Hizbul Mujahideen.

Another Sikh Separatist group leader with whom Mintoo was in touch with is Happy Singh, who is also based in Pakistan and is working in coordination with the ISI. Happy had met

Mintoo in Malaysia in 2009 on the direction of Neeta.

Also, police said one Baljinder, whom Mintoo had met in Germany, was the latter’s source of funding all this while. Meanwhile another Babbar Khalsa International member Jasvinder, was sending funds to Mintoo from Canada.

A senior police official said funds from the three countries were send to a owner of a sweet shop called Shagun sweets near the Nabha jail identified as Tejinder Sharma through Western Union money transfer service. Sharma used to send cash and also convey information to Mintoo. Sharma has been arrested by the Punjab Police and is currently in their custody.
