There seems no end to rapes in NCR. A 19-year-old girl from Nepal was reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday night from south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar and raped by three persons, including an acquaintance, in Gurgaon.
She was returning home from her brother’s residence in Sheikh Sarai area when she met the prime accused, whom she knew. He offered her lift but instead took her to a flat. There, they were joined by two of his friends and they took turns in raping her. later, they dumped her in Gurgaon area and fled.
The girl managed to get an autorickshaw but the driver forced her to get out near Motibagh flyover after she resisted his advances. The desolate girl was noticed by passersby, who came to her rescue. She managed to scribble her address on the pavement and also convey the fact that she was gang-raped.
The police were then informed and the girl taken to Safdarjung Hospital. A case of gang-rape and kidnapping has been registered at South Campus Police Station.
Police said the victim is a resident of Kotla Mubarakpur and got married just two months ago. She earns a living working as is domestic help in the household of a Defence Colony-based businessman. Her husband is employed as a waiter in a restaurant.
A senior police officer said, “Around 9.30 pm, when she was returning home, she was approached by one of her brother’s neighbours, a private cab driver, in a Scorpio.”
The victim told the police that she first refused his offer but had no choice of alternate transport. “On the way, he told her that he has some important work in Vasant Kunj so they headed there. Two more persons then got in and offered her a soft drink laced with sedatives. By the time she regained consciousness, she found herself in the bedroom,” the officer added.
The victim was found near Nanakpura flyover, wearing only a long t-shirt. A passerby made a call to the Police Control Room
Preliminary medical reports suggest there was no fresh injury. A case under Sections 376(G), 328 and 506 of the IPC remains registered.
5-yr-old missing girl found raped; cops suspect tenant
A five-year-old girl, who was missing for the last three days, was found raped at the ground floor of her house on Wednesday evening. The girl, who was missing since April 14, was gagged and injury marks were found on her body.
Police suspect the girl was raped by a tenant in the building who has since been missing. His father has been detained for questioning. Police said the girl was abducted from outside her house on April 14 while she was playing. Her parents, labourers by profession, looked everywhere, but to no avail. Subsequently, they approached a police and missing report was lodged at the Gandhi Nagar police station.
On Wednesday, people heard strange sounds coming from the ground floor house of the building where she lived. Police were called and the door broken open, to find the girl lying gagged, her limbs tied.
According to police, the victim was beaten and brutally raped, since pieces of glass and traces of a candle being used, were found on her private parts during a medical examination. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Asif Mohd Ali confirmed the incident and said a case of rape has been registered.
