A teacher was arrested on Sunday by the Special Cell of Delhi Police for arranging dummy candidates for students in competitive examinations.
The accused, Anil, hailing from Jind district in Haryana was intercepted by the sleuths and 36 admit cards for candidates, who were supposed to appear for the examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the post of constables in Central Police Organisations (CPOs), were recovered from him.
The teacher-turned-trickster charged `50,000 from each prospective candidate and used to send ‘ghostwriters’ to write the examination. Investigators are trying to ascertain the extent of damage that this Anil could have caused to the examination process of the SSC.

“Jasbir is Anil’s brother and was operating this racket since 2010. Anil ran this racket with one Bhupendra of Anupgarh in Rajasthan, but started his own after Bhupendra’s death in 2010,” the sources added.
“They were arrested from Burari on May 12 when they were heading to an examination centre in North Delhi,” sources added. As many as 36 admit cards, identification cards, fake rubber stamps and photographs of several students were seized.
