Teacher’s death due to heatwave: Tiwari blames Govt policy

Published on:

Targeting the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the death of a teacher in a Government school in Ambedkar Nagar, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit chief Manoj Tiwari said that the Government’s policies are responsible for the unfortunate incident.

Notably, with an aim to bring educational reforms, Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia ordered teachers to conduct  special summer classes to enhance learning and writing abilities among students. “It would not be incorrect to say that Delhi's weather is not favourable for both teachers and students to be in classes," Tiwari said.

"The death of the teacher is a very serious matter and presently, there is a heat wave condition in Delhi and it is going to be more intense," said Tiwari. Citing previous Government's policies on summer classes, Tiwari said that in view of the health of students and teachers, there was summer vacation of two months in Government schools. "Since Kejriwal came to power in Delhi, AAP has disregarded all the previous arrangements," he added while expressing grief on teacher's death due to heat stroke.
