Body of a 38-year-old woman was found at her residence in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar area on Thursday morning. Police suspect that the woman has been strangled by her live-in partner.
"The suspect, Kuldeep called us saying that he has killed Bhavna. After which he has switched off his mobile phone. Based on the injuries on the body of the deceased, we have registered a case of murder under 302 IPC," said a senior police official.
Police said that the deceased has been identified as Bhavna Thakur. She lived alone in her Vikaspuri Extension flat and taught tuitions. Few years ago, Bhavna met Kuldeep. Kuldeep is married and lives with his family in Rithala.
Bhavna was in a live in relationship with Kuldeep. Sources said Bhavna was unhappy with Kuldeep's marriage and the two often fought over this.
