Support PM's digital India, Muslim traders told

With municipal elections a few months ago, the Delhi BJP on Tuesday invited Muslim traders at State office on Pandit Pant Marg and demonstrated the use of mobile banking and cashless transactions as part of the ongoing campaign to popularise them.

BJP senior leader and national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said Muslims in Delhi should support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of digital India.

He said development of a cashless economy is a national duty and it will protect the interest of honest traders. “Some political parties are trying to mislead the people, including minorities, that demonetisation will harm them which is a false propaganda. However, the PM stands by the agenda of cohesive and inclusive development of all and will ensure the protection of interest of the minorities of the country,” he added.

The former Union Minister recalled the statement of Home Minister Rajnath Singh in which he lauded the Muslims for not succumbing to provocations of Pakistan.

Demonetisation policy is a war against corruption and black money which will ultimately help the poor, said Hussian.

Delhi BJP State president Manoj Tewari said poverty is the main problem of both Hindus and Muslims and instead of fighting amongst themselves they should come together to fight poverty and illiteracy.
