Supertech twin towers: SC orders status quo on demolition
Published on:

After Supreme Court’s ordering status quo on order to demolish Supertech’s two under-constructed 40-storey towers in Emerald Court project in Noida’s Sector 93A, the flat owners have expressed displeasure for concealing the details pertaining to the agreement with them by the developer in the court. The buyers also alleged the realtor did not allow their proper representation in the court during the hearing despite assurance given to them. “The move by the Supertech clearly indicates their malafide intention,” said a buyer.

The agitated buyers said that earlier after the Allahabad High Court’s order, Supertech had given three options to buyers. The first was to cancel the booking and take money with 14 per cent interest, second was to swap their flats in other projects and the third was to stay with the realtor and wait for hearing at Supreme Court. But on Monday, first day of hearing, the realtor neither invited buyers’ representatives nor disclosed its offer before the court. The counsel of the developer only urged for status quo on order of Allahabad High Court. It seems that the realtor is taking steps with ulterior motives.

KK Mittal, a buyer, who is representing a majority of buyers, said that the builder’s silence on several issue raises question about their intention. It appears they just want a stay on order so they can cancel bookings of existing buyers. “After their isolated move, we have decided to fight separately so we can disclose the agreement Supertech had with the buyers,” said Mittal.
